It is also common for Hy-Vee be attached liquor stores, which is the case in Minnesota, where grocery stores are not allowed to sell liquor above 3.2% alcohol by volume. In some cases, there is a completely separate building for the department of beverages, such as Prairie Village, Kansas shop, where the liquor store is across the street in Kansas City, Missouri, and Missouri contained alcohol laws instead of the laws of Kansas.
