Pavilions weekly ad is currently available in your local store. The pavilion is a bargain of grocery stores used by Vons, a supermarket division of Safeway Inc. in Southern California. Although similar to Vons stores, pavilion markets are richer and make up a larger selection of organic food, wine and other specialty foods.

 

Introduced by Vons in 1985, they were the appearance of their new image. Stores also tend to be larger than the typical Vons store, because many of them feature full service pharmacies, extended service areas, and specialty bargains as a standard feature.

 

The first location was opened at Garden Grove in October 1985 in a former Zody subway building for 55,000 square meters. The new store included a seafood store selling live fish, a full-service butchers, bakery, tortilla shop, small pizza parlor, ice cream, food, florist and pharmacy.
